I'm Javier, a full-stack developer from Guatemala.

I've been building software since 2009, working across web development, data visualization, digital platforms and technology projects for organizations and institutions.

I particularly enjoy working on problems where technology has to adapt to a complex real-world process—not the other way around.

I'm especially interested in projects where software can make an organization more efficient, transparent or accessible.

Skilled in full-stack development, including expertise in Django (Python), Express.js, and React. Additionally, I'm well-versed in Linux environments and skilled in installing web applications. I have a proven track record of collaborating with non-profits, multi-disciplinary teams, and fellow developers.

I value the importance of problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills in the collaborative world of web development.

My name is Javier Hernandez, and I'm based in Guatemala (in the UTC-6 timezone). I've been working in tech since 2009, after studying computer science in my home country.

Since 2017, I've been dedicated to working for non-profit organizations within open and multi-disciplinary teams.
